Catalina Aguilar

Catalina Aguilar, age 86, was born in Juan Aldama, Zacatecas on March 22, 1922 and passed away on April 1, 2008. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother with a great sense of humor that was shared by everyone around her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; Manuel Aguilar and adoring son; Juan Francisco Peña. She is survived by her sister; Antonia Peña, her only daughter; Maria Teresa Leyva; and four sons; Alfredo, Martin, Armando and David Aguilar; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She cared for everyone of us, with the love and tenderness that she used to grow every beautiful plant and flower in her beloved garden. God has taken this beautiful flower from us and she is now starting to bloom in the garden of our heavenly father. She was the seed that gave seed to us and God is the gardener that gives us the water of everlasting life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm Friday, April 4, 2008 with a Vigil at 7 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East, located at 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be at 9 am Saturday, April 5, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1315 Travis. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home -East.
