Carrie Alexa Sample

Carrie Alexa Sample passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018. Alexa was born July 19, 1924 to Ira J. Napier and Helen V (Butler) Napier. She was born in Frenchtown, Nebraska. She married Staff Sergeant Willard Leroy Sample in San Antonio, Texas on June 1, 1946. She was an Air Force wife and traveled to many different places as they were relocated from base to base including overseas to Germany. After Willard’s retirement they relocated to El Paso, TX in 1963 where they purchased and made their home in Northeast El Paso. Alexa retired as a Civil Servant at Ft. Bliss where she was a property book clerk. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and especially playing bingo. She is survived by her Children Cynthia Waters, Patricia Williams, Robert Sample and Elizabeth Flores, 7 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Graveside Service 9:30 am, Friday August 24, 2018 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
