Carolyn Sue Wright

Carolyn S. Wright, age 72, passed away peacefully from this life to be with her Lord and Savior that she loved so much on February 7, 2012. She was born September 1, 1939 in Clinton, Tennessee, and moved to El Paso, Texas, in 1960 where she met and married James H. Wright. Together, James and Carolyn planted their roots in El Paso and had two daughters, Shelly and Marlene. Carolyn loved her family and spent her life devoted to meeting their needs and being a blessing to all. She always had a smile on her face and was loved dearly by her friends and family. Her memory will be forever in their hearts and she will be sorely missed. Carolyn was one of seven children born to the late Charles and Lillian Goans. Surviving siblings include Harold Goans, Bonnie Davis, Linda Benedict, and Paul Lewis Goans. Carolyn will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years and her two daughters, Shelly Ruddock and Marlene Strickler, along with their spouses James and Shawn. Carolyn will also be fondly remembered by her five grandchildren - Mason, Jaymie, Jaclyn, Savana, and Alina who were the joy of her life. Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Friday, February 10, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. at Cielo Vista Church, 3585 N. Lee Trevino.
