Carolyn Sue Burns

Carolyn Sue Burns, age 68, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Sue spent many of her years as a corporate wife traveling around the world with her husband. Through her love of world travel, she became extremely fond of Chinese antiques, with which she decorated her home. She was an avid golfer and a member of the Santa Teresa Women’s 18 Holer’s, as well as the Red Hat Society. Sue adored all animals but had a special passion for dogs. Sue also enjoyed entertaining and having parties. She will be remembered as being the “pillar of the family”. She was greatly admired for her strength and will power and loved by all her friends. She touched the hearts of everyone whom she ever met. Sue is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Terry; daughter Lisa Ann Carroll and husband James; sons Michael T. Burns and wife Tammie and Jeffrey T. Burns; three grandchildren Catherine Burns-Rodriguez, Zach Burns and Austin Burns; and one great grandson Braiden Rodriguez. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, September 11, 2010 at St. Mark’s Methodist Church, 5001 Love Rd. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 909 E. San Antonio St., El Paso, TX 79901. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
