Carol Sue Lance "Susie" Wright

Carol Sue Lance Wright, “Susie”, 72, of El Paso, TX went Home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 19, 2022 after succumbing to a second battle against cancer. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edmond Wright, brothers-in-law Richard Wright and Arthur “Oz” Word, sister Janet Lance Johnson, and parents J.O. and Bernice Lance. Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters Lisa Wright and Kelli Wright Anderson (Aaron), in-laws Roy and Elodia Hargrove, grandchildren Tori Henderson (Dylan) and Jordan Villarreal, siblings Lorene Lance Word, Nancy Lance Hamilton (John), of El Paso, twin brother Jim Lance (Beth) of Katy, TX, and numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Susie was born on January 20, 1949 in Roswell, NM where she spent her childhood and graduated from Goddard High School. Moving to El Paso, TX she earned her degree in Medical Technology from UTEP. After many years working in different hospitals and labs in the area Susie faced and defeated breast cancer. She was a brave and strong survivor with a kind, gentle soul. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. Susie also loved to travel, especially to spend long weekends in Ruidoso with her daughter Lisa. Susie felt strongly about her love for the Lord and committed herself to several charitable endeavors through her church. A graveside service will be held at Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery (4848 Alps Dr. El Paso, TX) on February 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life at Open Gate Community Church (9821 McCombs St. El Paso, TX) at 12:30 PM. All are welcome to come share their memories and love for Susie.
