Carmen A Rodriguez “Kany” was born on November 19th, 1950 in Chihuahua City in Mexico, her catholic education and strong family ties provided guidance that led her to be an extraordinary wife, mother, friend and artist. As a wife, her unconditional love and support to her husband Jose Luis made her to graciously accept home relocations as part of life; in addition to her native Chihuahua City, she lived in Nuevo Laredo Mexico, Laredo TX USA, Kettering United Kingdom, and El Paso TX USA. As a Mother, her major achievements in life were her son and daughter, Jose Luis and Izza whom she educated with the discipline of a Mexican mother, and the love and affection of an artist that made them be of independent and creative minds. As a friend, she listened and gave encouragement to the many friends she made all the places she lived. She loved to be involved in the community, as President of the Twin Plant Women Association (TPWA) Carmen worked hard to support Children's Shelters and provide education tuition to low income students in Juarez Mexico. Carmen was an artist who loved to do oil paintings, her work obtained accolades and awards in USA and Mexico among museums, corporate shows and public and international juried exhibitions, and it can be found in private and public collections.
