Carmen died peacefully while surrounded by her family, at Nazareth hall, were she was a resident for over 4 years. She was born and raised in El Paso, was a proud Bowie Bear, and retired, after 42 years, from the Popular Dry Goods Store. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband Albert E. Campos Sr., granddaughter Raina Campos, and siblings Alicia Martinez, Estela, Lily and Ernesto Fierro. She is survived by her brother Robert “Tom” Fierro (Mary) and cousins Gabriel “Vielo” Chavez and Amalia “Molly” Nevarez. Children: Albert E. Campos Jr. (Olivia), Hilda Dominguez (Henry), David Campos, Ruth Garcia, Gina Hacker ( David), Ruby Mijares, Christy Rios (Ramiro). Grandchildren: Albert E. III, Eddie, Edgar and Adam Campos, Dee Dee, Andy, Gabriel, Monica, and Crystal Dominguez. Debra Lund (Tim), David II (Leticia), Joshua, Sarah and Jeremiah Campos. Michelle Ontiveros (James), Jessica del Palacio, Raul Jr., Abraham, Philip and David Mijares. Ramiro Jr. Angela, John Albert and Thomas Rios. Carmen also had 19 great grandchildren. Her family would like to thank the staff, volunteers, residents and friends of Nazareth Hall for their love and support. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm, Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast with a vigil at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, April 4, 2008 at Nazareth Hall, 4614 Trowbridge Drive. A graveside ceremony and interment will take place on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 1:30 pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Service entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
