On Thursday, September 16th, 2021, Carlos G. Valdovinos was reunited with his beloved wife Doris. He is survived by his sister Tita and brothers Salvador, Miguel, Quique, and Gilberto. He is also remembered by his sons Matthew and Carlos Jr, daughter Michelle, his eight grandchildren, and countless loved ones. He was a man who overcame many adversities throughout his life. A survivor of the Tlatelolco Massacre, he was an immigrant whose life would end as a casualty of Alzheimer’s. Carlos was a strong man who instilled the importance of making their own way in life. He met his beloved in Los Angeles, began his family, joined the California Iron Workers, and built a successful business from the ground up. With just the small change in his pocket, he created a full life. In his final days, Carlos found a lightness and peace he hadn’t often know prior. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to The Alzheimer's Association. Services will be held at Westside Community Church at 201 E. Sunset, this Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 11:30am. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home West.
