Carlos Salcido, 80 años, partió a su descanso eterno el 10 de mayo de 2024. Nació el 2 de febrero de 1944 en Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mx. Antes fallecido su hijo Pedro Salcido, su hermano Arturo Salcido, sus hermanas Consuelo Navarro, Guadalupe Mendoza y sus padres Pedro y Carolina Salcido.

Carlos pasó más de 60 años trabajando como un verdadero artista en el negocio de la pintura de automóviles y camiones. Incluso pintó el vagón "Century Old Train 1 Engine" que se exhibe en el centro de El Paso. Pero, sobre todo, fue un hombre de familia amante de la diversión al que le encantaba contar chistes, disfrutar del béisbol y ver el box los fines de semana con la familia. Le encantaba cocinar al aire libre y pasar tiempo con sus nietos. Siempre recordaremos su risa y sonrisa, descanse en paz.

Le sobreviven su esposa Juanita Salcido de 56 años de matrimonio, sus hijas Mónica Franzoni (Stephen), Claudia Borunda (Mario) y su hijo Carlos Salcido (Leticia). Sus nietos, Fernando Nungaray (Shirley); Alan Borunda y Max Salcido. Sus hermanos, María Luisa Aguirre, Ramón Salcido, Cándida Salcido, Rosa Salcido, Bertha Salgado, Oscar Salcido, Estela Salcido.

Velorio: miércoles 15 de mayo de 2024 en Sunset Funeral Homes-East, 750 N. Carolina, de 4:00 a 8:00 p.m., Rosario a las 6:00 p.m. Misa de funeral: 1:00 p.m. del jueves 16 de mayo de 2024 en la iglesia Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 131 S. Zaragoza, seguida del servicio de sepelio a las 2:15 p.m. en el cementerio Mt. Carmel, 401 S. Zaragoza.

Carlos Salcido, age 80, went to his final resting place on May 10, 2024. Born February 2, 1944 in Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mx. He is preceded in death by son Pedro Salcido, brother Arturo Salcido, sisters, Consuelo Navarro, Guadalupe Mendoza, and parents Pedro and Carolina Salcido.

Carlos spent over 60 years working as a true artist in the car and truck painting business. He even painted the "Century Old Train 1 Engine" displayed in downtown El Paso. Most of all he was a fun-loving family man who loved to tell a great joke, enjoy baseball, and watch boxing on the weekends with family. He loved to cook outside and spend time with his grandsons. We will always remember his smile and laughter; may he rest in peace.

Survivors include his wife Juanita Salcido, his daughters, Monica Franzoni (Stephen), Claudia Borunda (Mario) and son Carlos Salcido (Leticia). His grandsons, Fernando Nungaray (Shirley); Alan Borunda, and Max Salcido. His siblings, Maria Luisa Aguirre, Ramon Salcido, Candida Salcido, Rosa Salcido, Bertha Salgado, Oscar Salcido, and Estela Salcido.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes – East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 131 S. Zaragoza. Committal Service will follow at 2:15 PM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza.
