Carlos "Charlie" S. Razo

Carlos “Charlie” S. Razo, 81, passed away May 14, 2008. He was born July 5, 1926 in El Paso to Miguel Rivera Razo and Fernanda Solano Razo. Charlie was a lifelong resident of El Paso and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed gardening, singing along to his favorite records, and cooking for his family. Preceded in death by his wife, of 57 years Ofelia Razo and his daughter, Ana Nelms. Survived by his daughters; Dolores Juarez, Lydia Moreno (Freddy), Velia Hernandez (Mundo), Julia Shaver (Joe); sons, Alfredo Ramirez (Carmen), Carlos, Jorge, Hector (Linda), Lorenzo (Calley), Fernando(Alice) and Emilio (Nellie); sisters, Regoria Dominguez, Juanita Kern, and Elise R. Gibin; brother, Ricardo Razo; 30 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, Monday, May 19, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
