Carlos Vargas Pacheco

Carlos Vargas Pacheco, 73, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Carlos was born in El Paso, Texas, on December 23, 1947. He graduated from Bel Air High School and then left to serve his country proudly in the United States Army. In 1973, Carlos married his high school sweetheart, Martha. After serving in the Vietnam War, Carlos returned to El Paso and joined the El Paso Police Force. He spent 10 years with the police department and then went to work for Allstate Insurance Company until retirement. Carlos loved to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed working in his garage crafting leather products. Carlos is preceded in death by his mother Francisca Pacheco and his youngest brother Arturo Pacheco. He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Martha Pacheco, daughter Jessica Pacheco, son Jonathan Pacheco, his father Carlos Pacheco Sr., and two brothers Antonio Pacheco and George Pacheco. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a Scripture Service at 11:30 AM, Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes – East, 750 N. Carolina. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow at 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
