Carlos "Charlie" Alberto Chavez

Carlos “Charlie” Alberto Chavez, born April 24, 1951 was called upon by the Lord on August 30, 2012. A dedicated Supervisor for ASARCO in El Paso and ASARCO Silver Bell in Tucson, Arizona for over 30 years of service, and as a Supervisor for FOAMEX in Santa Teresa, New Mexico for 5 years. Carlos was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, brother-in-law and friend and served as a large foundation for his family. Carlos will be missed by his loving wife of 40 years Rose Marie Chavez, his daughter Melissa Chavez, and his two sons Samuel Chavez and Mario Chavez. Carlos leaves behind 3 grandchildren who he adored, Carlos, Mario, and Jade Chavez. Carlos is survived by his three sisters, Rosalinda Tweedt, Dalila Chavez, and Magda Chavez. Carlos will forever be remembered for his strength, his unconditional love, hospitality in his home and his commitment to his career. He always said his sense of humor was all he had left. Those who knew him know what he meant. His family would like to extend their gratitude for all the prayers, love and affection that touched and gave Carlos the will to live.Visitation will be Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 5 to 9 with a Prayer service at 7:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Homes-West. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 10:00 am at Sunset Funeral Homes-West. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
