Carl Edward Taylor

Carl Edward Taylor (Command Sergeant Major, U.S. Army-Retired) was born on September 15, 1938 in Union, W Va. He passed away on August 16, 2008 in El Paso, TX. He enjoyed a 24 year army career in which he earned the Bronze Star during the Vietnam conflict. He was preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Anna Taylor, brother, Jimmy Taylor, sister, Shirley Taylor of Union, W Va. and granddaughter, Aneke Petry. He is survived by wife Drema Taylor, son Frank (Ileen) Taylor, daughter, Jena (Darrel) Petry and grandchildren, Joshua Taylor, Ashley Petry, Logan Petry, and Azlyn Petry of El Paso, TX. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home - Northeast.
