Retired SFC Carl Edmund Payne Jr. was called home on April 14, 2010 by Our Lord and Savior. A lifelong resident of El Paso, TX, and Dallas Cowboys’ #1 fan. He served in the United States Army for 22 years with the Air Defense Artillery. He is survived by his wife Maria Teresa Payne; Children: SPC Marcus A. Payne, Michael T. Payne, Nichole C. O’Connor and Tameecha E. Johnson, Stepchildren: Valerie M. Amor, Christopher R. Amor, and David Amor Jr. Grandchildren: Jazmin and James Jr. O’Connor, Taneasha, Raymond, Dominique, Destiny, and Dierdra Johnson, Donovan, Elijah, Jazzlyn and Antonio Amor, and Jaylynne Blue; Brothers: Joseph, Bernard, Ronn E., Samuel, Ernest, Anthony Payne and LaKelcey Springer. Stepmother: Anner R. Young, Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. You are our Hero; your spirit will forever live within us. For all that you have done and all those that you have touched. The impact you made while you were with us will give us the strength to continue on. Rest now beloved Father, Husband, Brother, Grandfather, Son, Uncle and Friend. The Lord will Give Strength to his People. The Lord will Bless his People with Peace. Psalm 29:11 Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral Service at 9:00 am, Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
