Brandon Lee Garcia

March 1, 1996 — October 15, 2008

Brandon Lee Garcia, 12 was born in El Paso, Texas on March 1, 1996. He left this world in true cougar style, fighting. He lived every moment to the fullest even up to the end. Brandon passed away on October 15, 2008 at 3:09 pm at Thomason Hospital. He was one of the youngest organ donors at the age of 12. He was an exceptional and well loved sixth grade student attending Hurshel Antwine in the Socorro ISD. He was learning how to play the trumpet for the school band and his greatest aspiration was to be a running back with the Hurshel Antwine Cougars football team next year. His number would have been #30. He was apart of the broadcast team, defender of the weak against the bullies and laughed with all his heart. His greatest pride was his Native American heritage which he proudly displayed and reflected with his beautiful long, straight black hair. He is survived by his family, which he will guide home when their time comes. Brandon’s parents are Velen (from Nebraska) and Manuela (from Texas) Garcia. His older brothers are Velen Garcia, Jr. and Armando Garcia (of Texas). His only sister Yvonne Garcia-Earsley (of California) and also his nephews Isaiah Exodus Garcia, Joshua Elijah Earsley and Erik Drake Earsley (all from Texas) Brandon is also survived by his only niece Mackenzie Phynix Garcia-Earsley (of Texas) and his sister-in-law Leilani Quezada Garcia (of Texas). Although we are hi family, Brandon is also survived by all those who keep him in their hearts. Thank you, Brandon! We miss you and we will love you beyond forever.
