On June 11, 2011, somewhere in time, Blanche Tyler Coghlan Dulay rejoined her favorite dance partner, Peter Dulay, at the “Stardust Ballroom”, and now they are once more dancing cheek to cheek. Born in Brownwood, TX in 1919 to Thomas and Florence Tims, she was preceded in death by her parents and five sisters: Leone, Edna, Lucille, Inez, and Dorothy. She is survived by her daughters: Beverly Tyler Wade and Tresa Tyler Bowen; 3 stepchildren: Marcel Dulay, Michelle Mobbs, and Benjamin Dulay; 4 grandchildren: Gena Wade, Lance Wade (Kathy and children), Scott Wade (Debbie and children), and Brooke Bowen; four great-grand children: Brittany, Stephanie, Ashley, and Drue; and one great-great grandchild, Jimmy. She worked for many years as an accountant in El Paso, and reluctantly retired when she was 83 years old! Blanche was a woman of great wisdom, spunk, humor, and spirit. She was a joyful delight and inspiration to all who knew her. Throughout her life, she always gave everything and everyone her best, regardless of the circumstances life brought her. Her indomitable spirit was cherished by all. Always a free thinker, she was truly one of kind, and touched the lives of many. She will be greatly missed by her many friends, but know that her sequins continue to sparkle, Peter is wearing his tuxedo, the band is striking up “Kansas City”, her little feet are itching to swing...and she’s smiling. We love you always, Miss Blanche. Dance on! We would like to thank all her doctors, hospital staff, and special caregiver, Maria Esquivel. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 18, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass; El Paso, TX. Interment will be Private.
