Blanca Ramirez

Blanca “Big Mama” Ramirez, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009. Mrs. Ramirez was a member of Vino Nuevo and was very active in the Christian Community, where she served in several committees. Throughout her life she touched so many lives by her kindness and in her passing she helped save 6 lives. Mrs. Ramirez is preceded in death by her father Agustin Melendez. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, who will always cherish the memory of his “Sugar Sugar”, Arturo N. Ramirez, mother; Evangelina Melendez, daughters; Blanca Leticia Ramirez-Aguilera (Francisco), Brenda Ramirez Ulloa (Albert) and Erika Ramirez Camu (Joshua), brothers; Agustin, Miguel Angel, Jose Luis, Hector and Oscar Melendez, sisters; Irma Melendez, Maria Teresa Bernal, Patricia Parra and Norma Melendez and grandchildren; Christian, Aaron, Frankie, Stephanie, Justin, Ashley, Ricky, Cassie, Stella, Christopher, Ethan and Arianna. Visitation will be from 7-9 pm Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina, with a Prayer Service beginning at 7pm. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home-East on Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Interment will be private. We would like to give special thanks to the ICU staff and Guest Services at R. E. Thomason. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
