Billy Vernon Stokes

Billy Vernon Stokes Jr. passed away from this earth on July 26, 2021 at the age of 52 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born to Betty Jo Stokes & Billy Vernon Stokes in Fort Lee Virginia at the Kenner Army Hospital in Prince George County on February 3, 1969. At two years old, the family moved back to El Paso where he was raised. The last 11 years of his life were spent in & around Albuquerque NM. Billy is survived by his son Dashaun Sims (MA), mother Betty Jo Stokes (TX), Father Billy Vernon Stokes (VA), step-mom Cora Stokes (VA), sister Melissa Nichelle Stokes (TX), nephew Anthony Michael Stokes (TX), & half-siblings Alicia Manning (VA) & Jeremy Stokes (VA). A Gathering of Remembrance will be from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, with a Prayer Service at 1:30pm on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive.
