Billy R. McIntosh

Billy R. McIntosh, age 85, passed away peacefully on Aug. 20, 2017. Born in Burnsville, NC on May 22, 1932, leaving at an early age to serve his country with a 25 year career in U.S. Army with many of those years being Special Services Ranger during Vietnam War. He received several honors, including 2 Purple Heart and 3 Bronze Star Medals. After retiring from his military service, he also served his hometown of El Paso with their insurance needs creating McIntosh Insurance Agency, then fully retiring to enjoy his favorite hobby of fishing, catching the “BIG ONES” and sharing lots of exciting fish tales. Billy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years Elfrieda, leaving behind his daughter Evelyn Parker (Dennis), grandson Justin Parker, devoted companion Yong Cutler, and his trusted 4-legged best buddy, Tinker. Visitation will be from 5:00p to 9:00pm on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Service will begin at 10:00am on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service will follow at 11:00am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
