Billie J Cates

Billie J. Cates, 78, our “ Nonnie” passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2007. She was born in Quitique, Texas and was a longtime resident of El Paso. She worked 22 years as a clerk at Mesa Vista Elementary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Cates; sister, Evalyne Plumb and brother, W.L. Messimer. She is survived by children J. Michael Cates (Leah), Patricia Province (Paul), Sue C. Ledlow (Richard) and Kenneth L. Cates (Kayla). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren Jana Hernandez, Dwayne Cates, Shelley Bowers, Justin Cates, Brandon Cates, Kambra Cates and Blake Cates; 3 great-grandchildren Lauryn and Emily Hernandez and Jayden Cates. The family would like to thank Dr. John Tune and her many caregivers for their care. Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
