Bill Otis Watts

June 10, 1929 — February 14, 2011

Bill Otis Watts was born on June 10, 1929 in Riverton Louisiana and left this world on Feb 14, 2011. He moved to El Paso in 1945 and graduated from Ysleta High School . He retired as a shift supervisor from Standard Oil Refinery in 1983 after working there for 33 years. He was an enthusiastic vegetable gardener and he loved fishing, especially with his family. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and he coached youth baseball. He was fond of flea markets and collected old farm implements and cast iron cookware. He was always on the lookout for a good deal. He was a member in good standing of Masonic Lodge 1111 for over 55 years. He is survived by Mary, his wife of 63 years; sons: Ernie (wife Joyce) and Mark (wife Stephanie); daughter-in-law, Sue; grandchildren: Dustin, Will, Betsy, Katie, Lauren, Ashley and Jolene. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neavada and Wiley and much-loved grandson Arik. Bill was a self-made man and his family and friends sorely miss him and his absent-minded whistling, crazy stories, and corny jokes. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Graveside Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
