Beverly H. Brown

Beverly Hines Brown passed away on June 25, 2012. She was born November 28, 1926 in Hollywood, California to Joy Armstrong Hines and Leo Hines. Her family moved to El Paso in 1929. Beverly was a Panhellenic duchess in the El Paso Sun Carnival Court in 1948. She married Warren C. Brown from Nashville, Tennessee and spent the rest of her life as an El Paso homemaker. She was a member of the El Paso Garden Club, the Junior League and the Pan American Round Table. Beverly’s interests included playing tennis at the El Paso Country Club, skiing, gardening, cooking and playing bridge with lifelong friends. St. Patrick’s Cathedral was an important constant in Beverly’s life providing her comfort. She was preceded in death by her parents Joy and Leo Hines, her husband Warren who died in 2002, and son Stephen. She is survived by her son, Warren and his children Brittanie and Blake, son Thomas and his wife India and their children Tanner and Thayer, sister Jane Thomson (Wally), brother Thomas Hines (Kathleen), brother, Christopher Hines (Ginger). Memorial Service: St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Monday, July 2 at 10:00 am. A private burial will be at a later date. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home –West.
