Betty Jean Park

Betty Jean Park, El Paso, Texas, formerly of Iowa City, Iowa passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011. She was born September 3, 1929 to Marie and Albert Vevera in Iowa City, attended the University of Iowa, and graduated as a nurse. Betty was a fiery Bohemian, proud of her Czech heritage. In nursing for 35 years, she drove a semi and was a realtor. She is survived by six sons; Dan, Dave, Don, and Doug Herdliska, Dean and Dustin Park, and one sister; Cora Hatcher. She also has 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother; Bob Vevera. Services will be private. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East
