Betty Kathleen Jarvis, 91, of El Paso TX, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Feb 11, 2022. She was born in Kenova WV on July 9, 1930. Betty lived in El Paso for over 50 years. She worked in civil service for almost 40 years and retired at the age of 73, many of those years were at William Beaumont Medical Center. Betty enjoyed reading and crosswords, but she really loved music and spent many years singing in the church choir. Betty will be remembered especially for her beautiful soprano voice. Betty is survived by two daughters, Jackie Harper of Virginia and Gale (Eddie) Tarango of New Mexico; two daughters-in-law, Dieu Jarvis and Ruth Jarvis; nine grandchildren: Jonathan Weller, Michelle Watson, Heather Hardesty, Lily Jarvis, Freddie Jarvis lll, Matthew Booker, Jason Booker, Lora Jarvis and Paul Jarvis Jr; twelve great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. Betty was predeceased in death by her loving husband, Freddie O Jarvis Sr; three children: Freddie O Jarvis ll, Patria Booker, and Paul Jarvis; and her son-in-law, Jerry Harper. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a Funeral Service at 6:00pm on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive in El Paso, Texas. Committal Service will begin at 10:30am on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. (East Shelter) Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
