Beryl T. Baker

November 4, 1940 — June 11, 2011

BERYL T. BAKER 11/4/1940-6/11/2011 Devoted Wife, Mother, Daughter, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and devoted Steelers Fan. Beryl went home with God after giving everything she had. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA she resided in El Paso the last 36 years. Preceded in death by son Phillip C. Baker, she is survived by husband of 51 years Phillip A. Baker, son David K. Baker, son Mike Baker, 5 grand children, one great-grandchild, one sister, one brother, 2 nephews, 2 nieces, 6 great-nephews and nieces, and many great in-laws. Beryl served El Paso as a Child Developmental Specialist over 20 years with El Paso MHMR working with Downs Syndrome children from birth to 3 years. She was also past president of the Crosby Elementary PTA, Irvin High School Football Booster president, track operator at Desert Downs BMX and served in Women’s Ministry at Cielo Vista Church. She never met anyone she didn’t like or wouldn’t help. She was fun, spontaneous and always had a smile for everyone. Her family was her fist love and always put them above anything else. She was a proper woman and great friend! She was always positive and upbeat through the most trying times and gave away all of herself serving others up until her last day whether it was time, money or an egg salad sandwich. Memorial service will be at 6 pm, Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Please visit our online register book at www.sunsetfuneralhomes.net.
