Mommy, you’re still in my heart and mind, still making me laugh because your stories move on. The tears I have cried for you can flood the earth. For you mother, I promise you this, I will go on with my life and make you proud. I will always hold you in my heart. I need to love and miss you, but I also need to live because through me you will live. You suffered with your sickness for a very long time, “mom” you are no longer suffering. Our beloved mother, sister, and grandmother Bertha E. Fierro “Birdie” was taken from us on November 20, 2010. She is survived by her two daughters Alice Fierro and Teresa Fierro along with her grandchildren Ruben Pacheco, Alan Rivas, and Oscar Guerrero, sisters Simona Jaquez, Irma Avila, Magdalena Maese, and Sandra Moreno. Birdie had many truthful and caring friends and they were with her till the very end. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas. Funeral Mass will be at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Interment will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Americas.
