Bertha Alicia Garcia

Bertha Alicia Garcia (Tita), 78, went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2024. Bertha was born September 18, 1945, in Chihuahua, but lived most of her life in El Paso, Texas. She graduated from Lydia Patterson Institute in 1964 and later attended El Paso Community College. She worked for many years in various medical offices.

She helped care for great nieces and nephews who loved her hugs, sopita, and homemade tortillas. She was so nurturing and loving and had such a big heart, especially for children, animals, and especially dogs. She loved the beach and the memories it brought her of family in California. She will be missed so much but we are comforted that she has joined her parents and brothers.

Bertha is preceded in death by her parents; Elias C. Garcia and Francisca Josefa Garcia and her brothers Jose and Carlos A. Garcia. She leaves behind her daughter, Iliana Garcia, and fur babies Daisy and sweet Bubbles (in heaven). She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews, Lourdes, Elizabeth, Angelica, Carlos Jr., Alex, Jose Jr., Tisha✝, Sylvia, Maggie, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Prayer Service by Abundant Pastor David Arredondo at 6:00 PM, Friday, January 26, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Service will be immediately followed by a Celebration of Life.
