Bertha Flores Aguilar entered the hands of the Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the age of 80. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed. Bertha is preceded by her loving mother: Maria Antonia Flores. She is survived by her beloved husband Raul Aguilar Sr., sons: Raul Aguilar Jr. and Eduardo Aguilar, daughters Sylvia Rodriguez and Isela Hernandez, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, 3 brothers: Manuel Flores, Daniel Flores and Arturo Flores.
Bertha left a lasting impression on the lives of every person she encountered. She was a dedicated worker for 25 years, and after retiring her dedications sole focus was her family. She cherished and loved her family immeasurably, without reservation; her most prized treasure. She was selfless & compassionate, always available to lend a helping hand, never needing anything in return. She loved to knit, embroidery, and attend family gatherings with her family, cousins and aunts. Her infectious smile, gentle eyes, and genuine heart will be missed immensely by all who knew her.
Visitation will be from 4:00pm-8:00pm, with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 6:00pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes-East 750 N. Carolina. A funeral Mass will be held at 9:15am on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 11700 Pebble Hills. Committal Service to follow at 10:30am on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery 601 Zaragoza.
