El Paso

Benjamin M Stevens RET SGM, born on 10/08/1949, became another angel called up to

defend heaven on 12/07/2023. Benjamin Stevens served 28 years in the Army, which

allowed him to travel the world, after he began another government job, 26 years before

retirement. Completing 54 years total. Originally from Walterboro, SC he found his home in

El Paso, TX after retirement. He enjoyed the history of the Wild West border town, and found

a striking dichotomy to enjoy when the bright yellow poppies bloom on the cascading

Franklin mountains. He was a man of the Earth dedicated to his family and his country. He

was surrounded by loved ones; including wife Edna Stevens; children Daniel Stevens and

Michele Torres; siblings Rosemary Dandridge and Lance Johnson; grandchildren Alex

Stevens, Summer Stevens, Joshua Torres, Justin Torres, Liberty Torres-Huerta,

Omar-Justice Torres, and Jareek Wright; great grandchildren Rylan Stevens, Zoee Stevens,

Ellie Stevens, Lauren Stevens, Luke Lyon, Zaiden Huerta, Koa Huerta, and Omari Wright.

Benjamin Stevens was surrounded by his family where he is loved and remembered.
