Benjamin Abraham Garcia

November 4, 1976 — October 7, 2016

Benjamin Abraham Garcia, 39, passed away October 7, 2016 in El Paso, Texas. Ben was born November 4, 1976 in El Paso, Texas to Jackie McBroom and the late Carlos Garcia. He lived and grew up in Northeast El Paso, attending Parkland High School, home of the Mighty Matadors. You can say Ben lived and loved outside the box. He never stayed still, much less was satisfied with the mundane or boring. He made sure to keep it real but always exciting, trying anything and any place new or old. He was the “yes” man of “I’m going to try that” and “you’re coming with me.” So, traveling with friends and family was the norm. Things that required skill and speed were a must like racing cars and driving boats. His need for speed didn’t stop there, BMX racing was also an impressive chapter with his children, nieces and nephews who he guided with his expertise in competitions all over the U.S. Ben loved anything that involved animals and the outdoors. His life was shared with so many different types of creatures from an exotic 12 foot snake that could swallow you whole to tadpoles caught by his kids in the backyard. Fishing and camping with everyone he cared about, he always brought belly busting laughs and memories to always cherish. Along with those beautiful moments came lands of amazing food he loved to eat and cook, especially sushi and prime rib, which were his favorite to make from scratch. He always had something new and crazy to tell you about, while always having a big smile on his face. All of this we will remember and miss forever. We know he is now in the much missed company of his big brother Charlie Garcia, father Carlos Garcia, stepfather Mac McBroom and grandparents Garcia. Never to be alone but always loved and laughing. He was survived by his 5 children that he loved and cared for more than anything in this world, Brandy Dominguez, Blaze Garcia, Rane Garcia, Kyler Garcia, and Caleb Garcia; former spouse, Jessica Capacetti; mother, Jackie McBroom; sister, Brenda Sambrano; cherished nieces and nephews, Sheila Williams, Katherine Armindariz, Kimberly Bragg, Charles Garcia and Isaiah Sambrano. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Homes Northeast. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes Northeast.
