Benita Hernandez Leyva our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, April 1st, 2021. Benita passed away at age 95. She is preceded in death by her husband Salvador Leyva, II. Benita was a long standing member of Blessed Sacrament Church in El Paso, Tx. Outstanding member of: The Rosary Alter Society, Spanish Choir, devoted Catechism teacher, plus a deep devotion to the Virgin de Guadalupe
and always willing to help the church in any way possible. Benita Leyva will be missed by her family; sons Salvador Roberto Leyva, III and wife Bettina, Mario Alberto Leyva, and wife Carol; daughters; Cristina Marta Billek and husband Dieter, Margarita Eliza Loya and husband Rene, Esperanza Hollon and husband Larry, Anna Maria Renwick and husband Jim, 16 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great, Great grandchild. Public visitation for Benita Leyva will be held 12:00p.m.-4:00p.m., Monday April 19, 2021 and at 5:00p.m.-8:00. p.m., April 19, 2021, Rosary: 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on April 19, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Homes, 480 N. Resler, El Paso, Tx. Mass: 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2021 Blessed Sacrament Church, El Paso followed by a private Graveside Service. Benita will be buried at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with her beloved husband Salvador Leyva, II.
