Beatrice Andrade

Beatrice G. Andrade went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2018 at the age of 100. She was born in El Paso, TX on September 8, 1917. She grew up in Sunset Heights and attended Loretto Academy. She went to nursing school at Hotel Dieu and was an RN there for several years, until she was asked to be a nurse for Dr. William Tubbs. Once she retired, she was a volunteer at Providence Memorial Hospital for 33 years. She was recognized for her service by the state of Texas and the El Paso Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. Later in her life, she and Manuel raised two of their grandkids, Christopher and Jessica, and had a significant impact on their lives. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed tremendously. She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel, daughter Marie and grandson Alphonso. She is survived by her sons; Edward and Raymond, her brother Salvador Garcia, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 4:00PM to 5:00PM, with Holy Rosary at 6:30PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 10:30AM at St. Patrick Cathedral Church, 1118 N. Mesa. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
