Bart John Monteleone

Bart John Monteleone, 86 passed away peacefully on May 15, 2013. He was surrounded by his wife and children. Bart was a husband, father and grandfather and had many family and business friends. He worked in banking in the El Paso community from 1962 through 1991 when he retired. Bart served our country as a Seaman First Class in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He loved his family which includes his wife, Irene; daughter, Christine Madrid, and her husband Manny; son, Alan and his wife Judy; son Gary and his wife, Laura. He is also survived by his two grandchildren: Jayson Madrid, and his wife Sandra; and Michelle Monteleone; and three brothers: Reynold Monteleone, Frank Monteleone and John Monteleone. His family would like to thank Angie Alvarado and Petra Phiffer who provided wonderful care and support during a difficult illness. Words cannot fully express our gratitude for the support Angie and Petra provided for the entire family. Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m., with a Memorial Vigil to begin at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home-East. A Memorial Mass will be said at 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at St. Rafael’s Catholic Church. Inurnment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
