Barbara Ellen Jones

Barbara Ellen Jones, most loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away this Easter (April 5th) at age 73. Barbara was born in Hammond, IN to and preceded in death by William and Clara Schroeder. She married Bill and traveled the world as an Army wife building a tight family and wonderful friendships. Barbara had a deep spiritual life, exhibiting the compassion of Jesus in her everyday life as she was remembered for her kindness and caring. Her beautiful devotion to our Lord was always evident; she loved to read her Bible every morning and worked tirelessly at helping others without regard to herself. She always showered her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with Love. She was an awesome Scrabble player and great companion to her many neighborhood friends, as well as friends around the country. Barbara is survived by her husband Bill; her son Bill and his wife Lisa of Wichita, KS, her son Joe and his wife Marybeth of League City, TX, her daughter Jean of Mililani, HI; her daughter Robin and her husband John Scott of Aurora, CO; her grandchildren Sean, Alysson, Emily, Mia, Gage, Kristiyana, and great-grandson Bryson. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital A Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Prayer Service will begin at 10:30am on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Interment will Private.
