Heaven gained another angel on February 18, 2023. Barbara Anne Andrade (Brown), 92 years old, was born in Cordell, Oklahoma on February 16, 1931. She graduated from Enid High School and then Phillips University in Enid. She married Rev. Arturo (Pete) Andrade June 8, 1953 and supported him in Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. She was a science educator in Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico (math). She sponsored students in many activities to encourage the love of science and was Teacher of the Year.
Her passions were watching and supporting her children: David Andrade (Gina), Keri Meade, and Bryan Andrade (Melissa), grandchildren: Jason Meade, Erin Romero (Diego), Katy Andrade, Elisa Andrade, Austin Andrade, Robert Martinez, and her great grandson Antonio Romero, in their various activities. She was involved in their lives and was proud of all their accomplishments.
She was preceded in death by her parents Felix and Ora Brown (Killian), her sister Bonita Brown, and husband Arturo (Pete) Andrade.
Barbara, Mom, Grandmother, Grammy, Great-Grandmother will be remembered, loved and missed by many.
Mom donated to the St. Josephs Indian School www.stjo.org/dreams and enjoyed hearing back from the students at the school. Please consider giving a donation in her name to that organization in lieu of flowers.
