Asencion Diaz de Stoddard

Asencion Diaz de Stoddard was born in Durango, Mexico on May 4th, 1948 to Manuel Guerra Ortega and Dionisia Diaz Zuniga. While still very young she came to El Paso in search of a better life. Known to all as “Martha,” she was a hard worker, a dedicated wife and mother and a very successful caterer. She is survived by husband, Richard Shuey, son Jeffrey Lynn Stoddard Jr., daughter Maria Luisa Diaz, 7 grandchildren, brother, Catarino Garcia and sister, Esperanza Guerra. Visitation is 9:00 – 9:40 am, Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral Mass is at 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
