Arturo Herrera

Arturo Herrera joined our Lord on Monday, June 16, 2008. He lived a long, quiet, peaceful life around his family. He was very hardworking and never complained or asked for anything. He gave more than he received. He was a father to some, a grandpa to others and a little bit of a father to all of us. But most of all he was and always will be “APA” to all who loved him. He is survived by his wife Maria del Refugio, his daughters, Santa Villanueva & Martha Lizardo; son, Jesus Rojas, 5 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and brother Jesus Herrera. May he rest in peace because the Lord knows if anyone deserved it, it would be him. We love you Papa Turo and you will stay in our hearts always. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm with a Vigil at 7 pm on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas; located at 9521 N. Loop Drive. Funeral Mass will be at 11 am on Friday, June 20, 2008 at La Purisima Catholic Church (Socorro Mission). Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes - Americas.
