Arturo Flores

Arturo Flores, age 55, joined our Heavenly Father and beloved parents on January 30, 2011 surrounded by family and friends. A lifetime resident of El Paso, Arturo (Tury) was born on January 2, 1956 to Luis and Luz Flores. A loving brother, uncle, and friend, Tury endured several health challenges over the years but always maintained his spirit and positive attitude. A graduate of El Paso High School, he impacted the lives of many with his selflessness and generosity. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends, and along with sister, Gloria Flores, lovingly cared for both parents until their passing. Tury was survived by siblings: Gloria Flores, Alicia Valdez (Roberto), Jessie DeHoyos (Lupe), Luis Flores Jr. (Andrea), and Ruben Flores (Tess). Nieces and nephews: Patricia Valdez-Rios (Danny), Robert Valdez Jr., Erin Flores Ritter, Lindsey Flores Rounbehler (Rob), Adam (Laura) Guzman, Jessica DeHoyos, and Ramon Luis DeHoyos. Grandnieces and nephews: Ashley Rios, Reagan Ritter, Kendall and Avery Rounbehler, Aeneas and Marco Guzman. In addition to extended family, Tury also had numerous friends who enriched his life. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Cynthia Avalos, Hospice of El Paso, and Horizon Health Care for their care. Gentlemen with the Honor of serving as Pallbearers and Honary pallbearers will be his dear, dear friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-West, with a Vigil at 6:30 pm. A celebration of life Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at St. Patrick's Cathedral, with Rev. Pablo Matta officiating. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Hospice El Paso. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler.
