Arthur Leonard Leeser

Arthur Leonard Leeser 1927-2018 Born in Chihuahua, Mexico on July 14, 1927. Arthur passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 8, 2018 at the age of 90. He is survived by Rhoberta Lakehomer Leeser, the love of his life for 67 years; seven children: George Leeser, Nannette Leeser, Rose Hall, Bonny Stevens (Scott), Oscar (Lisa), Arthur (James), Lailah (Robyn), and 13 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. After graduation from El Paso High School, Arthur served proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII. After completion of his Army service he returned to Chihuahua to work with his father in the family business for many years. He then moved to El Paso, Texas and worked beside his son Oscar for the last 31 years. Arthur was a life member of the Jewish War Veterans and a longstanding member of Temple Mount Sinai, where he served as a member of the Board of Trustees. Arthur was also a member of the Golden Age Fitness Program at UTEP. Graveside service will be held at Temple Mount Sinai Cemetery and officiated by Rabbi Benjamin Ziedman on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. Pallbearers are Shawn Leeser, Joshua Stevens, Nathan Stevens, Benjamin Leeser, Craig Leeser, and Daniel Leeser. Honorary pallbearers are Melissa Ramirez, Courtney Luna, and Michael SmithLeeser. The service will be followed by Shevah Minyon at the Legacy at Cimarron (6201 Northern Pass Dr.) at 5 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in "Loving Memory" may be made to Temple Mount Sinai, 4408 N. Stanton St., El Paso, Texas 79902. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home West.
