Arthur Harris

March 31, 1916 — December 23, 2011

Arthur (Art) Harris, born March 31, 1916 went to be with our Lord in heaven on December 23, 2011. Art joins his soulmate and Beloved wife Vivian (Tess) Harris. Art served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a longtime devoted member of the Clint Bond Memorial Methodist Church. He is survived by son, Ray (Lorri) Harris. Daughters, Gail (Robert) Williams and Debbie (Louie) Olivas. He is also survived by loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. His love for life will be missed by so many. Art had a God given talent and great love for creating beautiful wooden pictures. His unique pictures can be found around the world. The family wishes to give a very special thank you to the wonderful caregivers at Regent Care Center. Special thanks to Susie Hurtado and Cathy Oyston for their TLC. Also, a very special thank you to our Pastor Janice Kahl and all of our church family for prayers and support during this very difficult time. Pallbearers will be Frank Acuna, Ray Harris, Jerry Ivey, Louie Olivas, Domingo Ramos and Robert Williams. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home- East.
