Arthur Barrera

Arthur Barrera, (72), of El Paso, Texas,  passed away on January 28, 2023, surrounded by  family.

Arthur was born to Delfina Villasana, on July 23, 1950. He was a talented chess player, and avid reader, but above all, an exceptional father and partner.  Arthur and his wife Hortencia celebrated their 44th anniversary in August.  He started his own business in 1994 and it remains standing 29 years later. He was never short of sound advice or  an inspirational speech if you were ever in need. ‍Arthur is survived by his wife Hortencia and children David and Marlene and step daughter Amanda. He is also survived by his brother Sergio, his granddaughter Scarlett and step grandchildren Ezra and Zadok. Arthur was predeceased by his mother Delfina and daughter Esmeralda.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 6:00pm Wednesday, February 08, 2023, Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive. Funeral Mass will begin at  9:30am, Thursday, February 09, 2023, Our Lady of Assumption, 4805 Byron Street. Committal Service to follow at  10:30am, Thursday, February 09, 2023, Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 4848 Alps Drive.  Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
