Armenta "Tury" Arturo

Arturo “Tury” Armenta, was born on October 12, 1956 and went to our Lord’s Heavenly Kingdom on October 22, 2010. He was a longtime resident of El Paso where he attended Jefferson High School, worked for the El Paso City Street Dept. and also joined the US Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, Damacio and Teresa M. Armenta. He is survived by his loving wife, Ma Corina Appelzoller-Armenta, sons, Arturo Armenta Jr. from Ft Worth, Daniel Armenta from San Diego, and Albert Armenta from El Paso, step children, Robert Appelzoller, Alexander Appelzoller, and Annette Appelzoller, brothers, Damacio Armenta Jr. (Lily) and Francisco Armenta, sisters, Belia Sifuentes (Isac), Rosa Maria Armenta, and Alicia Armenta; half sisters, Rosa, Beatriz and Elizabeth Armenta, nine nieces, seven nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins in El Paso and Ft Worth, TX, and his beloved Rodesian Ridgeback Dog, “Goldie”. “Always will be like a Dad to me. The memories of us together will always be in my heart.”-Charlie Acevedo Colo 3:15 And let the peace of Christ control your hearts, the peace into which you were also called in one body. And be thankful. A very special thanks to Dr. Herrada, Dr. Bahl, Dept. of Veteran Affairs, and El Paso Hospice. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm, Monday, October 25, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
