Armando Gallardo Sr., 80, has gone to be with his beautiful “Vieji” (our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother) and are now dancing together to their favorite Glen Miller tunes surrounded by the angels. It broke our hearts to let him go, but Heaven needed another angel. He gave his best to his family after working for the U.S. Postal Service for more than three decades and giving his service to the U.S. Army. We will remember him as a hardworking provider, a silly Grandpa, and someone who loved baseball, and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his wife Carmen Aragon Gallardo. He is survived by his children Armando Gallardo Jr. (wife Martha) , Carlos Luis Gallardo (wife Sonya), Raymond Daniel Gallardo (wife Irene), Grace Gallardo García (husband Victor) and Mary Margaret Gallardo; grandchildren Jessica, James, Katye, Carleigh, Sara, Samantha, Raymond, Veronica, Robert, Carla, Samuel, Victor, Carlos, Daniel, Amanda; three great-grandchildren; siblings Fernando Gallardo, Estela García, Cristina Carson. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-East with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Mass will be Thursday at 9 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church with interment at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
