Arlene Waxman Ellenburg

Arlene Waxman Ellenburg , 83 , was born to Joseph and Sara Waxman and passed away on July 19, 2022. She was integrally involved in the community throughout her life. She was a dual member of Temple Mount Sinai and B’nai Zion. Arlene was active in Temple Mt. Sinai Sisterhood and served as President. She also worked on Interfaith endeavors, NCJW Book Fair, Drive-A-Meal and senior visitation. In addition, she was the president of the CPA Auxiliary. An avid traveler, Arlene owned Ewald Travel Agency where she enjoyed helping others explore amazing places around the world. She is survived by her daughters Renee Tanner (Russell) and Sheri Rosenbaum. Her greatest pride and  joy in life was her role as “Mima” to her four grandsons with whom she had exceedingly close relationships even as they became adults. Cody Tanner, and Joshua, Matthew, & Zachary Rosenbaum were her entire world. She is also survived by her brother Neil Waxman (Pam), her sister Michelle Rogoff (Earle), several nephews/nieces,  and life-long friends Marty Slater and family. She never let obstacles get in her way and lived life to the fullest. She will be dearly missed.

Graveside Services will be held at Temple Mount Sinai Cemetery on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 9:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Lee and Beulah Moor Children’s Home or Temple Mt. Sinai.
