Arlan C. Raatz

Arlan (Rip) Raatz, 73, born May 19, 1938 in Oshkosh Wisconsin passed away April 22, 2012 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Rip, an army veteran, was an engineer in the defense and aerospace industry. Rip was an avid shooter and was a lifetime member of the NRA, Ducks Unlimited and a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment. He is preceded in death by his wife Janet (Butler) Raatz. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Raatz Stephenson, Cynthia Norris, and Amanda Gould; sons Kevin Raatz and Kevin Norris; a sister, Barbara Fitzgerald, and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 10:30am at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, New Mexico.
