Antwannnette L. Whitner, 48, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Antwannette was born on November 5, 1972 in Miami, Florida to Felicia Garrett and Douglas Washington. Antwannette was known as Precious. She was a graduate of Mannheim High School in Mannheim, Germany and attended Carol City Senior High School in Miami, Florida until her Senior year. She is a graduate of Virginia College in Huntsville, Alabama. Precious started her career in the financial spectrum as a corporate accountant for many major corporations while in South Florida. In 2018, her, her mother and children decided to move to El Paso, Texas to be closer to her siblings and planted their roots here. She was an active member of Life Church. She finished her career as a data analyst for CapGemini for the last 2 years of her life. There she met many friends that later turned into family. Precious was an avid traveler and dedicated local foodie. She was very active in the military dependents group called “Bratz” a loyal group that she reunited dependents that attended high school overseas on military installations. She was very family orientated; she spending her time with her children, singing and dancing with family and watching the latest movies. Her hobbies included everything from cooking to wine sampling. Antwannette is survived by her children, William Whitner IV, Shamar Washington and Danette Thomas; her siblings, Tammy Sexton and David Sexton. She is also survived by her three grandchildren. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. To have known her, was to love her. She never met a stranger. She will be dearly missed. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina.
