Antonio Edmundo Montoya, Jr.

Antonio Montoya, Jr., 59, passed away on January 22, 2017 at his home in El Paso, Texas after a prolonged battle with cancer. He was born on August 13, 1957 in El Paso, Texas to Antonio and Jennie Montoya. Tony graduated from Ysleta High School in 1976. After high school he worked for the El Paso Independent School District and the Socorro Independent School District as a bus diver where he worked for many years. Tony Married Anna Pedregon in 1973. They were married for 26 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Montoya, Sr. Tony is survived by his mother, Jennie Montoya, his sons Antonio III (Elizabeth), Jacob and his sister Patricia Ann (David) and Anna Montoya. Tony is also survived by his grandchildren, Mark, Mackayla, Mireyva, Mia, Malina and nephew Patrick Solis. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home, 9521 North Loop from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm where the family will be greeting friends and relatives. A memorial service will begin at 12:00 pm Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza at 2:00 pm. A special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for the kind and giving care in his final days.
