Antonio M. Hernandez

Antonio (Tony) Hernandez, 79, passed away on March 10, 2007. He was a resident of Chaparral, New Mexico and a retired auto mechanic from Tony’s Garage, F & M Garage and Rudolph Chevrolet. Preceded in death by: his brother, Manuel Hernandez and his parents, Zacarias and Fabiana Hernandez. Survived by: his wife of 56 years, Josefina Hernandez; his daughters: Mellie (John) Marshall, Carmen (Oscar) Muela, Emma Orozco, Rose (Frank) Enriquez, Martha (Vernon) Matlock; sons: Fred (Angie) Hernandez , Mike (Arlene) Hernandez, and Charlie (Barbara) Hernandez; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rafaela Ruiz and Petra Hernandez; and brother, Margarito Hernandez. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm with a Vigil at 7 pm, on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral Mass at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 15, 2007 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Chaparral, NM. Interment will follow at Desert View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Hernandez, Oscar Muela, Moses Hernandez, Paul Marshall, Charlie Hernandez, Joey Enriquez, Tony Orozco, and Steven Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Hernandez, Frank Enriquez, Oscar Amescua, John Marshall, Vernon Matlock and David Soriano. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
