Antonia Munoz

On the mid day of Tuesday, November 27, 2007, Antonia (Tonia) R. Munoz, passed away peacefully at the age of 69 after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be remembered for her faith, excellent cooking, green thumb, wittiness and helpful nature as well as caring for here lovely mother for the last twenty-five years. Tonia was born June 13, 1938 in Amador, Durango to Angel Rodriguez and Casimira Calleros. She lived in El Paso, Texas and finally in Sunland Park, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her father Angel Rodriguez. She leaves behind her daughter, Guadalupe Trujillo of El Paso, Texas and her two sons Gerardo Rodriguez of Sunland Park, NM. and Ray “Bobby” Ontiveros and his wife, Patricia, of Las Cruces, NM. Also left to cherish her memory are her mother; Casimira Calleros, four brothers, three sisters, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and her dear friend Francisco De La Rosa. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home-West on Friday, November 30, 2007 from 5-9pm, with a prayer service at 7pm. Special thanks to all the doctors and staff at Providence Memorial Hospital.
