Antonia Corona, 85, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones at her bedside. She was born on February 20, 1938 in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Preceded in death by husband, Fernando Corona, daughter; Juanita Chavez, mother; Refugio Sanchez, and brothers; Rodolfo, Jaime, and Bonifacio Sanchez.
Antonia is survived by her daughters Martha (Eduardo) Lucero, Celia Garcia, sons; Roger Corona and Raul Corona, sisters; Maria Sanchez, Josefina (Ruben) Garcia, Cecilia (Nelly) Perez, brothers; Vicente (Juana) Sanchez, Jose Luis (Maria L.) Sanchez, grandchildren; Lorraine, Dennis, Michelle, Danny, Naomi, Irene, Mia, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
When Antonia entered a room, she filled it with her bubbly and energetic personality. Her home was full of love and warmth. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with all her family. She was loved by everyone she knew.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Vigil/Rosary at 6:00 PM, Monday, April 17, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes – East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama. Graveside Service will follow at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
